Introduction to object detection with Vertex AI and ML Kit
In this lightning talk you will learn about Google Vertex AI, a new platform to train and optimize machine learning models in the cloud. You will see an example app showing how to use a custom model for object detection in a live camera capture. The talk will end with a short demonstration how we used a custom TensorFlow lite model to detect different supermarket products in a "smart" shopping cart during a hackathon project at Rewe Digital.
