“Modern Android” best practices are a moving target, with ever-evolving guidance, libraries and tools coming from both the Android team and the community. In this talk we’ll examine some of the latest developments across Jetpack Compose, Material Design 3, new architecture and testing recommendations, new tools and build optimizations. We’ll share some insights into how and why we’ve updated our guidance and show concrete examples of it in practice from the new “Now in Android” open source sample, so that you understand how to apply them to your apps.
