Dr. Daniel Lueddecke serves as the Senior Director for Product Management at Harman, a leading company in automotive technology. Within Harman Automotive, he holds responsibility for overseeing the development of Harman’s Developer Experience related products. Additionally, Daniel manages various open-source initiatives within the Harman Automotive division. Before joining Harman, Daniel held the position of Senior Software-defined Vehicle Ecosystem Manager at Microsoft's automotive team. In this role, he spearheaded an initiative aimed at establishing an ecosystem for the automotive industry, leveraging open-source technologies and standards. This initiative addressed challenges related to modernizing in-car software stacks, implementing cloud-based vehicle software operations, and enhancing the developer experience. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Daniel gained extensive experience at Volkswagen AG, where he fulfilled diverse roles. His responsibilities included research on future E/E architectures, development of connected car services, managing post-merger integrations of acquired companies, and contributing to Volkswagen's transformation into a software-driven company.
