Currently an Engineering Manager at Thermondo, where we are making living climate neutral a reality! I previously led a team of Android Engineers to build Android Apps at Kyosk. I have consulted on various tech projects as a developer and as a systems architect specialising in App optimisation for the developing markets. Ex-Intel, Ex-SnappMobile and ITU. I started one of the first coding bootcamps in Africa. I love building and empowering developer communities: KotlinKenya, Android254 & AzureKe. In this talk, we delve into the nuances of leading a diverse team and look at the cultural challenges and opportunities that exist while leading a multicultural team. Drawing experience from having led a multi-cultural team of engineers with different seniority levels, i will cover effective communication strategies, the importance of cultural sensitivity, and how to leverage cultural diversity to enhance teams.
